The Omaha Front-end Web & jQuery meetup was founded in fall of 2009 as the "Omaha jQuery Meetup". Since then a number of technologies have emerged such as HTML5, CSS3 and advancements in the browser. As such in March of 2011 the group was renamed to Omaha Front-end Web & jQuery with a focus and passion on technologies in the browser as well as jQuery.
